Walter Payton High School Clothing Drive
Various schools in the Chicagoland area have sent gifts of used clothing to children in Africa. These students at Walter Payton High
School collected 19 boxes of clothing to send to needy children. The poor in Africa delight in American clothing, and love knowing
that children in the US that they have never even met care enough to give gifts. Clothing is more appreciated than toys, as the children
in our partner countries go without many basic necessities. Gently used clothing makes them have a great feeling of significance.
Some local US schools have also done fundraisers to raise resources for food and crisis medical care, which makes a huge difference
in impoverished children's lives as well.
