Ohaji Medical Center is a poor rural hospital in Umuagwo, Nigeria. It has no fresh running water, no sanitary laveratories, no needle disposal pit and very few medicines available. The doctor who single handedly serves the poor at this hospital, Dr Okey Elisha-Wigwe has been sacrificing his personal needs for years to serve his patients. Mission Volunteers held medical clinics for the poor at his hospital and saw hundreds of very ill women, children and elderly with devastating illnesses. Hundreds of cases of malaria were treated while on our two week visit, and many babies' lives were saved.
